AI search visibility for home service businesses
A growing share of "who should I call" is now asked to an assistant instead of a search box. The companies those assistants name are the ones they can read clearly enough to trust.
When a homeowner asks an assistant for an HVAC company in their city, it does not return ten links. It produces an answer naming one or a few businesses, drawn from sources it can reach and parse. If your business is not legible to those systems, no plain statement of what you do and where, nothing quotable, nothing structured, you are not in the answer. There is no page two to climb to.
This is closer to publishing than to keyword work. Assistants favor content that states the fact in the first sentence, carries structure a machine can follow, and is corroborated somewhere else. A page that buries the answer under three paragraphs of throat-clearing loses to a page that leads with it.
We make the business citable: schema that matches the page, an llms.txt that tells crawlers what the company is, FAQ content written to be quoted rather than skimmed, and the entity signals that let an assistant connect site, profile and reviews to one business. Then we check which assistants actually name you, for which questions, and track it over time.
The honest position: for most trades, assistant-driven call volume is still small next to Maps, and it is growing fast. The work overlaps almost entirely with what makes the map pack and organic results stronger, which is why we bundle it rather than sell it as a separate product. It is a compounding investment, not a replacement.
What the work includes
Citability rewrite
Key answers moved to the front and stated plainly, because that is the sentence an assistant lifts.
Structured data
Schema matching what the page actually says, so machines parse it instead of guessing.
Crawler access and llms.txt
Explicitly allowing the AI crawlers worth having, and telling them what the business is.
Entity consistency
Site, profile, reviews and citations all describing one business the same way.
Mention tracking
Which assistants name you, for which questions, over time.
Questions
Do you get businesses named in AI search answers?
Yes. When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity who to call in their city, those systems pull from sources they can read and trust. We structure your site and profile so your business is described clearly enough to be named, and we track which assistants mention you.
Is AI search visibility different from SEO?
It overlaps but it is not the same. Traditional SEO competes for a position in a list. AI visibility competes to be named inside a single answer, which rewards clear structure, plainly stated facts and corroboration across sources more than keyword targeting.
Is it worth doing yet for a contractor?
It is cheap to do alongside the map pack work because the same clarity and structure help both. Assistant-driven enquiry volume is still small next to Maps for most trades, and it is growing. We treat it as compounding, not urgent.

Google Business Profile
Your profile decides which searches you are allowed to compete for. Most contractors we take on are losing to companies with fewer trucks and worse reviews, purely because their profile is built wrong.
