Privacy policy

Who we are

This site is operated by DEEG Consulting LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Rank On Maps. We are a local search studio. We help home service contractors rank in Google Maps and get named by AI assistants. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean DEEG Consulting LLC.

This policy covers rankonmaps.io and the enquiry, booking and messaging channels we run from it. Our clients each have their own privacy policies covering their own websites, and this policy does not apply to them.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and to run the engagement.

Information you give us. When you apply, book a call, fill in a form or open the chat widget, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number including mobile number, website, and whatever you tell us about your business such as your trade, service area, revenue range and advertising spend.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site we and our providers receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the referring page or advertisement that sent you.

Information from the work itself. If you become a client, we handle data inside the accounts you give us access to, such as your Google Business Profile, your website analytics and your call tracking. That data stays yours.

We do not collect payment card numbers on this site. We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, health information or biometric data.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and to work out whether we are a fit
• To schedule, confirm and remind you about calls
• To deliver and report on the services you have engaged us for
• To send service updates, and marketing you have agreed to receive
• To measure which pages and advertisements produce enquiries, so we spend sensibly
• To keep records we are required to keep, and to enforce our agreements

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent it, trade it or hand it to data brokers. We have never done this and the business does not depend on it.

Text messages and mobile information

If you give us your mobile number, we may contact you by text message about your enquiry, a call you have booked, or your account with us. You choose to give us that number. We never buy mobile numbers, and we never add a number to our messaging without the number holder's consent.

The only parties that ever handle your mobile number are the providers that deliver the message for us, such as our customer relationship platform and its telecommunications carriers. They act on our instructions, they may only use the number to deliver our message, and they are not permitted to use it for their own marketing or to pass it on.

You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. You can ask for help at any time by replying HELP or emailing hello@rankonmaps.io. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. The full messaging terms are in our terms and conditions.

Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, to remember your preferences, and to understand which pages and advertisements lead to enquiries. Three third parties load on this site:

• LeadConnector, which runs the chat widget. If you open the chat and type into it, what you send and the contact details you provide go into our customer relationship platform.
• Cortana, which attributes enquiries to the advertisement or page that produced them so we can measure our own advertising.
• Cloudflare, which serves and protects the site and processes request data such as IP address in order to do that.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site, in particular the chat widget, may stop working if you do.

We honor Global Privacy Control and other recognized browser opt-out signals where the law requires it.

Who we share information with

We share personal information in four situations, and no others.

• Service providers who run part of the operation for us, such as our customer relationship platform, our email and calendar provider, our call tracking, our analytics and our hosting. They may only use the data to provide that service to us.
• Professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers, where they need it and under a duty of confidence.
• Legal requirements, where we are obliged to disclose by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.
• A business transfer, if the business is sold or merged, in which case the acquirer is bound by this policy for information collected under it.

As stated above, mobile opt-in data and consent are carved out of every one of these categories for marketing purposes and are not shared with any third party.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for up to three years from your last contact with us, so that we can pick a conversation back up and so we can show consent was given. Client records are kept for seven years after the engagement ends, which is what our tax and professional obligations require. Records of an opt-out are kept indefinitely, because the only way to reliably honor a STOP is to remember it.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to take it elsewhere, and to object to us using it for direct marketing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute, as do residents of the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and Australia.

To exercise any of them, email hello@rankonmaps.io. We will respond within 45 days, and we will not treat you worse for asking. We may need to verify who you are first, which usually means replying from the address we already hold.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link at the bottom of any marketing message, and from text messages by replying STOP. Service messages about an engagement you are in will still reach you.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

Children

This site and our services are for business owners. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top of the page is the date of the current version. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you directly rather than rely on you re-reading the page.
